Adidas Originals collaborated with BAYC, NFT collector gmoney, and PUNKS Comic to launch its first NFT project, "Into the Metaverse," in December. In addition, NFT owners have free access to the tangible items of the four partners.
Last year in December, Adidas entered the NFT game. The apparel company launched a line of NFTs called Into the Metaverse, offering buyers access to what’s essentially a very exclusive fan club.
After a couple of weeks of crypto and metaverse hype from Adidas, the launch came out.
The company launched digital tokens in November 2021 that offer holders early access to the NFT drop. Adidas also bought a Bored Ape — the company named the ape Indigo Hertz — and outfitted it with a custom Adidas-branded tracksuit. On December 17th, 2021, started Selling NFT for 0.2 ETH, or about USD 800, through their Adidas website.
