“Y’all ever been to Barcelona? There’s a hotel there from Alfred [Moesker]. He’s an IOG man, and he came to our very first IO summit that we held. We had it in Portugal. That was put on long time ago by Tamara Haasen, and she’s somewhere around here.
“She got the job of having to figure out how to put on a conference. We’d never done that before, and we did. And he showed up, we had dinner together, and he said, ‘you know, I’m just gonna convert my hotel into a Cardano-themed hotel’. I was like, ‘oh sure’. Now, it is! There’s pictures and paintings. It’s called Hotel Cardano. You pay in $ADA.“
The Spanish hotel that Hoskinson was referring is Cardano Boutique Hotel Ginebra in Barcelona, Spain, and according to its website, it was “the first business in the world to accept ADA.” The owners say that they “believe so much in the more equal and honest systems that Cardano is developing” that they decided to rebrand their hotel from “Boutique Hotel Ginebra” to “Cardano Boutique Hotel Ginebra”.
According to their Instagram page, the hotel also operates a Cardano stakepool and runs a charity program in Bangladesh. They also have a podcast called “Cardano Hotel Podcast”.
