Animoca Brands will mint and sell non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that represent partial ownership of the virtual Hockenheimring racetrack, according to a company statement.
NFT holders can receive shares of profits earned from entry fees, sponsorships, and events from the virtual racetrack.
The REVV Motorsport ecosystem, which is powered by the REVV token, consists of popular gaming titles including REVV Racing, Formula E: High Voltage, and Torque Drift 2, among others.
Earlier this year, Hong Kong-based Animoca Brands raised US$358 million to raise its valuation to US$5 billion.
Animoca is expected to develop a series of blockchain-based racing games after acquiring French racing game studio Eden Games in April.
